We are pleased to announce the kick-off of Parent Power Hour (PPH)! PPH will be held once a month from 9-10 a.m. and will provide tips, tools, and strategies to increase parental awareness of educational issues that impact your child(ren). Parent Power Hour will give parents the opportunity to mingle directly with your principal and other school leaders about the future direction and happenings at Vanderlyn in a casual/informal setting.
We will kick off our first session with New Parent Orientation. Parents will receive information about our school’s traditions, program offerings, school performance, volunteer opportunities and the nuts and bolts of teaching and learning here at Vanderlyn. Parents will also have the opportunity to ask related questions regarding our school and how you can support our school’s vision and mission.
Communications are an integral part of a positive school-home connection; therefore, it is our goal to provide an additional layer of communication that will foster a climate of transparency and open sharing of information. We hope you can attend.
