Student Destiny Log In Directions

 
Students are able to log in to Destiny to see what books they have out and to read the library's collection of eBooks. Follow the instructions outlined in this link

Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl

 
The Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl team is comprised of 4th and 5th graders. Team tryouts in will take place in the fall. The tentative date for the tryouts will be posted over the summer. The list of books for the 2020-2021 school year can be found here. Three of these books will be used for the tryout. These 3 books are Lemons, Song for a Whale and The Unteachables (eBook versions of these books are available through the school district's Sora OverDrive account. Log in information for Sora can be found here)
 
Book Descriptions Please read the descriptions/reviews before returning the permission slip. If there are any of these books (outside of the tryout books) that you do not want your child to read, your child may still participate.

                      Media Center Hours                      
7:50am - 2:05pm, Monday - Friday
 When visiting the library in small groups, students need a pass from their teacher. 
 
                      Checkout Allowances                       
Students in grades PreK through 2 may have 2 books checked out at a time. Third, fourth and fifth graders may have 3 books. 
 
The loan period is two weeks. Books must be returned on time in order to check out new books.
